Let’s address the empty basket in the room. Arks Harvest has been in operation since 2022 and we are so proud to still be going strong. People are asking for their basket to be sponsored, so let’s talk about it together.
Arks Harvest is a not-for-profit volunteer run organization, and our mission is affordable food for everyone. As we are a volunteer run organization, we continue to say thank you everyday to our amazing team of volunteers by offering a volunteer incentive. Volunteers get a basket of food every week based on the number of hours volunteered at any of our locations. In the last year alone, Arks Harvest has provided more than 50 volunteers between $2,500-$3,500 a week in volunteer baskets. That’s $30,000-$42,000 per year of food! How amazing is that?! We are doing our part in helping our communities! Wooohooo!
We also understand that times are incredibly hard right now and not everyone has the capacity to volunteer. In the past year Arks Harvest has sponsored over 30 baskets!
Here is where the Community and Arks Harvest can come together to support the empty baskets. At each location we have gift cards for purchase. You can ask to sponsor a basket on a gift card and not wonder where the money is going. Those cards are for a family in need.
We are doing our best to help those in need of a helping hand once in awhile, but we are not a food bank.
If you have extra money and wish to participate in helping us continue to be able to sponsor those in need, this is how. Just ask one of our lovely cashiers at any of our locations about sponsoring a gift card and they will be happy to assist you! Thank you all so sooo much for your love and support!
